The carnival will once again be a smoke-free event. With a major focus on Tackling Tobacco, WACHS Tackling Smoking & Healthy Lifestyle Program will be set up with education, promotion and awareness surrounding the effects of tobacco smoke as well as offering referral pathways for those seeking to make a quit attempt or gain further information regarding smoking cessation. Over the 4 days WACHS will also be providing free health screening opportunities for adults, with an onsite health marquee.

“The Knockout doesn’t happen without wonderful sponsors such as WACHS” said WAC spokesperson Geoff Simpson. “I encourage everyone attending this year’s Knockout to visit the various health marquees that WACHS will have set up over the 4 days”.
